Hancock Park Golf Course Lampasas, Texas
Golf Course Superintendent January 2024 - April 2026
Hancock Park Golf Course was established in 1945 as a 9-Hole course and was expanded to an 18-Hole golf course in 1996. It is a unique 18-Hole golf course located 60 miles northwest of Austin on Highway 183 in the Texas Hill Country. The course has beautiful native trees, and Sulphur Creek winds through majority of the course. Measuring just 6,000 yards from the Championship Tees and a Par 72, the golf course is short but challenging.
Accomplishments
Successfully implemented and executed all agronomic and cultural plans, as well as all daily operations of the Pro Shop, Golf Course, and organization of all Tournament Play.

Manage all daily operations of the Pro Shop to include implementations of new technology and software to better improve the operations of the course.

Drastically increased the number of rounds and revenue for the golf course, and the City of Lampasas.

Successfully organized and executed all tournament outings.

Prepared and monitored all financial goals, as well as initiated actions to ensure that all budgeted goals were achieved or exceeded for both the pro shop, and golf course maintenance budgets.

Worked with multiple boards to plan and execute outside projects that were not funded by the City of Lampasas to improve the conditions of the golf course.

Acquired and maintained all proper licensing for Hancock Park Golf Course.

This locally owned and operated business is located in Burnet, Texas, and offers years of golf course experience and education, to create residential and commercial landscapes that match our customers needs.

Ensure that all aspects of the business are functioning properly, to achieve a product that meets and exceeds the customer expectation.

Plans, organizes, and executes all aspects of the business - from scheduling, servicing, and installing, to invoicing and bookkeeping.

Escondido Golf and Lake Club Horseshoe Bay, Texas

This private, and exclusive, golf club is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, on Lake LBJ. Escondido is an award winning Tom Fazio design, that is consistently ranked among the Top Ten Golf Clubs in the state of Texas.
Accomplishments
Ensured that all aspects of the Grounds & Golf Maintenance Department were well managed, and membership enjoyed a high level of member satisfaction.

The Quarry Golf Club San Antonio, TX
Assistant Golf Course Superintendent September 2013-June 2016
This unique golf club, located in the heart of downtown San Antonio, was built in a 100-year-old quarry pit by nationally-recognized golf course designer Keith Foster. Opening in 1993, the award-winning club is recognized around the country for its unique setting and design.
Accomplishments
Successfully manage, and maintain tournament-like conditions, daily, on a course producing in excess of 44,000 rounds of golf per year.

Worked with the Golf Course Superintendent in the planning of all cultural, and agronomic practices which provide conditions that meet and exceed club standards.

Successfully diagnose turf related issues, as well as execute the appropriate corrective responses.

The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch Boerne, TX
2nd Assistant Superintendent December 2010 - June 2013
This Jack Nicklaus design course opened in 2007, and has consistently been ranked among the best in Texas, most recently placing fourth in the Dallas Morning News’ annual poll. Its par-3 16th has claimed the No. 1 spot as “Most Beautiful Hole” by the same publication for the past five years.
Accomplishments
Successfully managed A-1/A-4 Bent-grass Greens throughout three growing seasons without the loss of grass.

Supervised, trained, and motivated employees to be highly efficient in preparing the course to championship conditions on a daily basis.

Carried out all spray and granular applications for all areas of the golf course.

Successful record keeping of all chemical applications and agronomic practices.

Successful seeding and grow-in of A-1/A-4 Bent-grass putting green.
Country Club of Little Rock Little Rock, AR
Intern / Assistant-in-Training May 2009-December 2010
Founded in 1902, the Country Club of Little Rock is listed as one of the premier private country clubs in the South, and one of the oldest west of the Mississippi. Members are able to enjoy a championship golf course, that was recently re-designed by architect Keith Foster.
Accomplishments
Upon completion of internship, was promoted to Assistant-In-Training and went on to successfully complete an extensive renovation of all greens, tees, approaches, and bunkers.

Acquired a tremendous amount of knowledge managing, and growing, cool season grasses in the transition zone.

Assited in conducting an elaborate shade study that led to the removal of 150-200 trees. This resulted in drastically more healthy turf in selected areas.

Gained vast knowledge in irrigation troubleshooting and repairs.

Successfully grew-in Tyee Bent-grass Greens, as well as Zoysia-grass tees and approaches.
